It’s easier to put something down when you know where it’s going. Here’s what to expect from Joyce.
Do I have to set up my whole life first?
No. Start with one thing: a task, an appointment or a form that needs signing. Add people, places and details as you need them. A helper can give you a starting set of reminders without writing each one yourself.
How is this different from a calendar?
A calendar tells you what is scheduled. Joyce also holds the things around it: a document still needing a signature, money due, a promise that is running late. With places and travel times recorded, she can also check whether you can get from one event to the next.
Does Joyce read my email or connect to my bank?
No. You add the information you want Joyce to hold, by speaking, typing or using the app’s forms. Money entries track what is owed and what has been paid; Joyce cannot access your bank or make a payment. She does not automatically import your inbox or other calendars.
What happens to my voice recording?
Speech is transcribed on your device. When you submit, the text and relevant context from your household are sent to Joyce’s service and its AI provider to interpret your request. The audio stays on your phone. You can type instead.
Can my partner use it too?
Yes. A partner can join your household so you work from the same records. Your personal instructions stay yours. People outside the household can connect and share particular records or availability, without opening up their whole world.
What if Joyce gets something wrong?
Joyce uses AI to understand requests, and it can make mistakes. Review the receipt after a request and check the instructions you set up. You can edit or pause those instructions in the app. She is help with the remembering, not a guarantee that nothing will ever be missed.
Can I get Joyce now?
Joyce is an iPhone app in testing through TestFlight. Join the waitlist for an invitation as we bring more households in. Not on the App Store yet.
